Task Instructions:

De-install Legacy System

    1. The De-Install procedures as documented in the Site Cutover Plan shall be executed for de-installation.
    2. The Site Deployment Manager shall ensure that the system components, data, database and program files that are no longer used by the new system are archived. These archives shall be verified and made available to the Site Deployment Team during cutover and start-up period in case the Backout Plan must be executed and the files and data restored. The Site Deployment Manager shall ensure to de-install hardware and software components made obsolete by the new system.
    3. Site Deployment Manager shall track and report the progress of de-installation of legacy business processes and system and ensure that GM IT Service Agreements and related billings shall be updated accordingly.
    4. Site Deployment Manager shall update the Site Deployment Plan to reflect the actual cost, effort, and duration to perform the work. The Business Project Champion shall review, as appropriate, the Business Case for the project, update the actual costs and expected benefits for performing the work of de-installing the legacy components and business process changes.
